Chancroid / Curable:
Female Chancroid Symptoms:
- Most women do not know that they have a Chancroid ulcer, or sore. The sore is usually painless, inside or outside of the woman’s body. Some women have symptoms… others do not.
- Depending on the person’s general immunity, Chancroid symptoms usually begin to surface within two weeks of exposure. If the person is run down physically, symptoms can surface within three days, usually not before. But again, general immunity is the deciding factor in this.
- The first thing that is noticed is a tender, elevated bump, which may or may not be red. As the Chancroid bacterium floods the subcutaneous layers of the skin, the immune system kicks into high gear to try and isolate the infection and the sore (papule) becomes pus-filled due to dead white blood cells that flooded the sore, and died, trying to kill the Chancroid bacterium.
- As the Chancroid sexually transmitted disease progresses, the sore opens up, and has a characteristically irregular, and
misshapen border. It is also a soft sore. Therefore, doctors use the term “soft chancre” to distinguish this particular sore from the hard, almost immovable syphillis sore.
- As the woman’s immune system puts up a fierce localized fight, the body’s intelligence center quickly deduces that more troops are needed and rallies the lymph nodes in the groin to transmit more powerful infection killing chemicals to the scene. This is why the lymph nodes swell painfully as they fill up with debris of slain Chancroid killing “soldier cells”. The lymph nodes are an important part of the immune system and a doctor may feel for enlarged nodes in the groin, neck, and abdomen to see if the Chancroid infection has spread to other regions in the body. (If you know anything about breast cancer, you know that lymph nodes in the armpit and breast are sometimes removed to prevent the lymph system from circulating the cancer cells to remote areas of the body, making the cancer spread. Women suffer from Lymphodema afterward because they are missing the critical lymph nodes to carry waste from the region.)
Male Chancroid Symptoms
- Most men do not know that they have a Chancroid ulcer, or sore. A Chancroid sore can hide inside a man’s urethra,
anus, or just inside the penis.
- Depending on the man's general immunity, Chancroid symptoms usually begin to surface within two weeks of exposure. If the person is run down physically, symptoms can surface within three days, usually not before. But again, general immunity is the deciding factor in this. Go to
AIDS Treatment Page to learn more about maintaining natural immunity and shielding your body against STD’s. Natural Remedies for Allergy is another good page that discusses immunity.
Needless to say, when a man discovers the tender elevated bump, he feels pain when he touches it.
- It is very important to be tested for STD’s because remember, STD’s usually come in three’s. You could HIV and not know it. And having a Chancroid sore increases your chances of getting AIDS because your immune system is down fighting this STD.

Human Papilloma Virus / HPV / Genital Warts / Incurable
The Centers for Disease Control estimates that about 3 million people have HPV and don’t know it. Also, the numbers for cervical, colon/anal cancer and prostate cancer keep rising, year after year.
Other than the visible evidence of seeing flat, red or bumpy red warts on your genitals or surrounding tissues, there are a few other symptoms that sometimes drive people to find out what’s wrong:
- Blood in the toilet, or on toilet tissue after defecating or urinating. The pressure can scrape internal warts and cause them to bleed slightly. Oftentimes, the person does not relate the symptoms to HPV,
a sexually transmitted disease.
- Painful intercourse from the penis scraping on cervical warts, which are unseen, but nevertheless present.
- Unexplained bleeding between periods.
- A burning, or itching feel before a wart emerges. Sometimes the warts are painless and sometimes they are very painful and bleed easily.

Hepatitis B and C
Symptoms of Hepatitis B and C:
Since it can take up to a year (some people develop antibodies within six months) for a person to find out medically, by being tested, if they Hepatitis B or C it is important to not engage in any further unprotected sex (or any kind) until you get tested two times in 12 months. Although you may not yet developed the antibodies that can be picked on a test, you most certainly can transmit the virus to any one that you share sexual activity (of any kind) with.
When Symptoms Do Appear They are Most Common:
- Chronic fatigue.
- Fever
- Weakness
- Nausea, vomiting, headache, loss of appetite.
- Muscular and joint pain,
- Drowsiness,
- Dark urine, light clay colored stools,
- Abdominal pain and jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes) progressively appear, usually not all at once.
- The person usually believes that they have the flu, or are run down. They do not associate their symptoms with having unprotected sex up to a year earlier.

Male NGU Symptoms:
- Discharge from the penis, or a yellow stain on your underwear.
- External Itching, Burning or Tenderness near the tip of your penis
- Burning pain when peeing (urinating)
- Rectal Itching, Pus Discharge from Rectum, Painful Defecation,
- Oral infection is without symptoms 90% of the time. Sometimes a sore throat is present, but not usually. The orally infection person can infected others just as effectively as having intercourse or anal sex.
Although the person is immediately infected, it usually takes 7-10 days for symptoms to arise. Most people think that they have a simple bladder infection, however, it far more serious than that.
Go to the following pages for more NGU information:
Genital Herpes / Incurable
- A person is usually infected immediately upon exposure.
- The first attack of genital herpes comes four to eight days after exposure to the herpes virus.
- The first sign in women is mild tingling, or burning feeling in the vaginal area, internally, or externally. This may seem as more of mild annoyance at first, but within a few hours, painful blisters develop around the rectum, clitoris, cervix and in the vagina.
- Men experience a painful lesion, and/or painful defecation or urination.
- Both sexes oftentimes experience a watery discharge from the urethra and pain upon urinating.
- Flu like symptoms, such as fever, body aches, headache and extreme fatigue.
- Some people report feeling depressed and very blue.
- After a few days, the initial watery sores emit pus (dead white blood cells and immune system chemicals) and then turn into extremely painful ulcers.
- Within three weeks, the sores crust over and dry out while healing. Needless to say, you should avoid sex while this virulent outbreak is taking place.
- You do not have to have this visible outbreak to transmit herpes to other people. It just makes it much more likely that they will contract it from you. It is a Russian Roulette situation. Do you really want to take that chance and give them an incurable disease?
- Some victims of herpes think that they are cured when the sores disappear. This is not the case. The person’s immune system kicks in and drives the herpes virus back into the nerve cells when it hides and waits for another opportunity to resurface.

Female Trichomoniasis Symptoms:
In women with run down immune systems, symptoms can arise in as short as 7-10 days.
As the Trichomoniasis parasite progresses, she may experience the following symptoms:
- Low back pain that accompanies a green, yellow vaginal discharge.
- Feeling very tired and run down.
- Nongonococcal Urethritis, NGU, symptoms, such as pain during urination. Go to
Nongonococcal Urethritis page to learn about this STD.
Male Trichomoniasis Symptoms:
- 85% of people infected with Trichomoniasis are asymptomatic, which means they display no symptoms until the disease has well advanced. This means they can fully infect their sexual partner and never know it.
- In men, the incubation period is usually 4-28 days, depending upon the general state of the
man's immune system.
- In men with run down immune systems, symptoms can arise in as short as 7-10 days. A pussy discharge from the urethra is usually seen and may suddenly disappear within a few days.
- Some men are tricked into thinking that they have recovered, and all is well. But they are anything but well.
As the Trichomoniasis parasite infection progresses, a man may experience the following symptoms:
- Infection of the Prostate Gland (prostatitis) leading to erection problems, lower back pain, fever, and general
body aches.
- Soft erections may also occur during this period as well as a tired, general feeling of not being well.
Low sex drive also.
- Nongonococcal Urethritis, NGU, symptoms. Go to Nongonococcal Urethritis Male page to learn about this STD.
Men who are infected with HIV (whether they know they have it, or not) have SIX TIMES higher concentration of the HIV virus in their semen if they are also infected with Trichomoniasis. This tiny, virulent parasite does a serious number on the immune system, making it easier for the HIV virus to advance and drag the victim into full-blown AIDS. The male victim infected with Trichomoniasis also is able to infect others with HIV at a much higher rate than usual.

Syphilis / Curable
Syphillis has 3 stages of development that can occur over a lifetime. The person infected with syphilis can infect anyone, and everyone they come in contact with.
Syphillis Stage I
- Syphillis is most easily spread at this stage because the person usually has no awareness of being infected. Kissing a person with syphillis, unprotected oral sex, unprotected vaginal and anal sex are prime methods of transmission. The sore, internally or externally on the genitals, emerges within 10 days to 3 months
after exposure.
- A red, painless, hard sore develops at the site of initial infection. This can be inside or outside the body of a woman, inside a man or woman’s rectum, inside the mouth, or outside on the genitals or anus.
- Since the sore is not painful it can be almost impossible for a man or woman to know if they have syphillis, or not.
Syphillis Stage II
- Syphillis is an invasive bacterial infection, which means that when a person becomes infected, syphillis wants to take over the entire body. It does not stay localized in the genitals or pelvic region of its victims. It works on a cellular level to take over the body. The secondary stage of syphillis usually develops about two weeks to 7 months after infection.
- In the second stage, syphillis causes fever, a mouth full of sores, patches of flaking skin on the body, especially on the genitals and inside the mouth, rashes (rough reddish brown on the palms on your hands/soles of your feet).
- Headache, nausea, weakness, muscle and bone aches and general lousy feeling.
- The person may notice more frequent colds and appears to catch everything. The person’s immune system is depressed, and open to other sexually transmitted diseases, like AIDS.
Syphillis Stage III
The third and final stage of syphillis is the worst stage.
- It generally occurs 2 to 30 years after infection. Syphillis has the capacity to invade the brain, (not an easy thing to do) and cause permanent brain damage. This is the stage where no
mild symptoms appear to be seen.
- Permanent hearing loss, heart disease caused by the bacterium damaging the heart muscle, and blindness are the symptoms of this stage.
Most people do not relate these conditions to an STD.
- Before doctors knew about the late stage of syphillis people were just locked up for insanity. Because of the manic behavior caused by the syphillis, these poor victims were oftentimes left alone, in psychiatric cells, to die a horrible death of never ending hallucinations and hearing tormenting voices in their heads. Sealed off from normal auditory and visual stimulation (caused by the blindness and deafness caused by syphillis) they were left to die a slow indescribable death complete with horrible nightmares and inner hallucinations as the Syphillis bacterium invaded and destroyed their brains.
- Late Stage Syphillis patients were also frightening looking because they had these strange looking bumps (gummas) all over their bodies that made them appear freakish. The bumps (tumors) were also on vital organs inside the body and bones.
Treatment cannot reverse the damage done by Syphillis at this stage.
